What are we looking for?
We are looking for an ambitious and talented profile to join our Sales Department as Sales Planning Analyst located in Dallas, Texas (USA)
Mission
The Sales Planning Analyst supports the Sales team by providing data-driven insights, consolidating customer inputs, and collaborating with the Sales Team and Demand Planning to ensure accurate forecasts. This role acts as the bridge between Sales, Supply Chain, and Finance, translating customer plans and activity into actionable demand signals.
Key responsibilities:
Forecast Support: Partner with Sales Directors and Regional Business Managers to consolidate customer-level insights (distribution changes, resets, new item launches, promotional plans) into the demand forecast.
Collaboration: Act as the liaison between Sales and Demand Planning/Supply Chain, ensuring alignment between bottom-up sales forecasts and top-down statistical forecasts.
Reporting & Analytics: Track forecast accuracy, variance vs. actuals, and highlight risks/opportunities for Sales leadership. Build automated reporting pipelines and data transformations using SQL and Python to improve speed, consistency, and analytical depth.
Promotion Planning: Work with Sales and Trade Marketing to quantify expected lift from promotions and ensure inputs flow into the forecast.
Business Reviews: Provide analytical support for monthly S&OP/demand review meetings, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and Annual Business Plans (ABP).
Category Insights: Develop repeatable tools and workflows using SQL, Python, and AI-powered analytics to streamline the forecast input process and enhance decision quality.
You will need:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field.
2–4 years of experience in Sales Planning, Sales Operations, Demand Planning, or Category Analytics within CPG.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Fabric, SQL, and Python, as well as experience leveraging AI for data analytics and productivity automation
Familiarity with syndicated data sources (Nielsen, IRI, Circana) and customer POS data.
Competencies
Strong communication skills, comfortable presenting to cross-functional stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Reporting Line
Reports to: Sales Operations Manager
Key Interfaces: Sales (RBMs, Directors), Demand Planning, Trade Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain.
Success Metrics
Improved forecast accuracy at customer/region level.
Timely and accurate input into demand planning cycles.
Increased transparency of forecast risks and opportunities.
Effective collaboration between Sales and Demand Planning.
Creation and implementation of SOPs related to the Forecast function.
