What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Sales Manager – Traditional Trade with analytics skills and business vision to join our Sales Team in Mexico.
Mission
Lead the commercial strategy and execution of the traditional channel (wholesalers, distributors, neighborhood stores, and regional chains), ensuring sustainable business growth, proper point-of-sale execution, and the development of high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Commercial Management of the Channel
Define and implement the sales strategy for the traditional channel.
Develop growth plans by customer, territory, and category.
Manage negotiations with key regional chains and wholesalers.
2. Team Development and Management
Lead, develop, and motivate regional sales teams.
Establish clear objectives and monitor individual and team KPIs.
Implement commercial management routines (field visits, coaching, evaluations).
Foster a high-performance culture with accountability and a results-driven mindset.
3. Account Management – Regional Chains
Build strong relationships with decision-makers in regional chains.
Negotiate commercial terms, assortment, pricing, and in-store execution.
Identify expansion opportunities within the chains (categories, coverage, etc.).
4. Analysis and Planning
Analyze sales and market data to support strategic decision-making.
Prepare forecasts and demand plans for the channel.
You will need
8+ years of experience in traditional channel sales (preferably FMCG).
At least 3 years leading field-based commercial teams.
Proven experience managing and negotiating with regional chains and wholesalers (Super Aki, Casa Ley, Smart, Merco, Calimax, etc.).
Willingness to travel nationally.
