We are Hiring for a position of Regional Sales Manager- North Region: -
Role Objective:
Lead and scale the General Trade business for the assigned region by driving aggressive yet sustainable sales growth, strengthening distribution infrastructure, and expanding market footprint. This role is accountable for building high-performing sales teams, delivering superior execution excellence, and unlocking long-term growth through strategic regional expansion.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning & Growth Delivery
Develop and drive annual and mid-term sales strategies in partnership with distributors, aligned to overall business objectives and growth ambitions.
Design region-specific go-to-market strategies, including outlet segmentation, activation planning, and investment prioritization.
Create a robust promotions and activation calendar tailored to market dynamics and outlet potential.
Strengthen distributor partnerships to build scalable and efficient distribution networks.
2. Performance Management & Business Analytics
Lead, coach, and inspire the Sales Team to consistently deliver and exceed business targets.
Drive a high-performance culture through rigorous tracking of daily sales, secondary movements, and forward-looking forecasts.
Monitor and enhance key distributor performance metrics (fill rate, throughput, execution quality).
Conduct structured market visits to ensure superior in-store execution, visibility, and brand presence.
Leverage data analytics across distributor, outlet, and SKU levels to identify growth levers and course-correct proactively.
3. Market Expansion & Capability Building
Spearhead geographic expansion by identifying white spaces and unlocking new business opportunities, with a strong focus on emerging markets such as Northeast India.
Build and enhance frontline sales capabilities through structured training on products, selling skills, and execution excellence.
Institutionalize DILO (Day in the Life Of) frameworks to improve salesforce productivity and effectiveness.
Optimize distributor route-to-market models to maximize reach, efficiency, and sales productivity.
Drive deployment of market intelligence tools to strengthen decision-making and competitive readiness.
Lead talent acquisition and onboarding of Junior Sales Officers and oversee third-party manpower to ensure team readiness and scalability.
Key Success Metrics (KPIs)
Delivery of regional sales targets with consistent, profitable growth.
Expansion of numeric and weighted distribution, with measurable gains in outlet coverage and market penetration.
Strengthening of distributor performance and execution benchmarks across the region.
Successful establishment and scaling of business presence in Northeast India markets.
