What are we looking for?
We are looking for an Inventory Analyst (US Operations) with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to join our US Operations Team in Mexico City, Mexico.
Mission
The Inventory Analyst is responsible for analyzing, monitoring, and optimizing inventory levels across the 3PL Warehouses to support service, cost, and working capital objectives. This role focuses on balancing availability and efficiency by leveraging data, forecasting insights, and cross functional collaboration to reduce stockouts, excess inventory, and obsolescence while supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Planning & Control
• Collaborate with Logistics team on daily reconciliation of inventory records across internal systems and 3PL warehouses.
• Identify and proactively manage slow‑moving, excess, and obsolete inventory.
Timely liquidation and disposal of Obsolete Inventory in collaboration with Sales and warehouse.
Axillary material planning and control for repacking activity.
Data Analysis & Reporting
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for key inventory KPIs.
• Support monthly inventory reviews and executive reporting.
• Cross‑functional alignment with Logistics and Finance teams (Inventory reserves, accruals, etc.).
Demand & Supply Collaboration
• Partner with Demand Planning and Sales to align inventory with forecasts.
• Collaborate with Supply Planning to help balance inventory across multiple warehouse locations.
Analyze inventory, demand, and supply data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Support new product introductions (NPI), promotions, and phase‑outs from an inventory perspective.
Logistics & Warehousing
• Work closely with 3PLs and internal logistics teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Support cycle counts, root‑cause analysis of discrepancies, and inventory adjustments.
• Monitor inbound & Transfers flows to minimize delays and handling costs.
Support Warehousing team for controlling cost of Repacking or extra activity/VAS.
Process Improvement
• Identify opportunities to improve inventory planning processes, tools, and data quality.
• Support system enhancements and automation initiatives (ERP, planning tools, BI).
• Document standard operating procedures (SOP) related to inventory management.
You will need
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Experience
Minimum 2+ years of experience in inventory planning, supply chain analytics, or a related role.
Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), FMCG, retail, or manufacturing preferred.
Hands‑on experience working with multi‑SKU, high‑volume product portfolios.
Native in English.
Technical Skills:
• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
• ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Strong understanding of inventory planning concepts (DOH, safety stock, service levels, FEFO).
Competencies
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
High attention to detail and data accuracy.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.
