What are we looking for?
We are looking for an EDI: Technician Support with technical skills to join our Global IT Development Team in our Global Headquarter (Madrid).
Mission
- Issue resolution: Address problems and provide solutions.
- Message monitoring: Oversee the proper functioning of various types of inbound and outbound messages.
- Implementation support: Assist in the implementation of SAP/EDI systems.
- Development and support: Develop and provide support for SAP/EDI applications.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Knowledge
- Education: Bachelor's/Engineering degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, FP or related fields.
- Programming: Proficiency in ABAP, ABAP OO, Java, and JavaScript.
- SAP Knowledge: Preferably in SD, LE, MM, PI/PO, ALE modules, and debugging.
- Languages: English is required; Italian is a plus.
- Desirable: Knowledge of EDI standards (EDIFACT, ANSI-X12, XML), communication protocols (AS2, X400, SMTP, HTTPS, FTP, SFTP), mapping tools, and experience with web services.
Skills
- Organization: Strong organizational skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Problem-solving: Strong problem-resolution skills.
Experience
- Minimum: At least 3 years of proven experience in a similar role.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Application development: Collaborate in the development of SAP/EDI applications.
- EDI communication: Interface with EDI contacts at customer and supplier companies.
- Issue resolution: Identify and solve issues.
- Implementations and improvements: Support new implementations and improvement projects.
- User support: Provide assistance to users.
- Documentation: Document processes.
Internal/External Relationships
- Will work with the IT department and other departments across different geographic locations.
- Will communicate with external vendors and clients.
