What are we looking for?
We are looking for and ambitious and talented profile to join our Sales Department as Category Analyst (Onsite) Located in Texas, Dallas, U.S.A
Mission
Build best-in-class selling stories for Deoleo’s Bertolli and Carapelli brands, the Olive Oil Category, and adjacent categories utilizing fact-based selling and storytelling to deliver profitable brand and category growth.
Key Responsabilities
- Perform category and brand analysis to provide recommendations for external and internal initiatives, as an analytical resource and business partner in a fast-paced environment.
- Develop and assist in creating fact-based, customer and category-oriented sales presentations that lead to strategic wins for Deoleo, including distribution, promotion, and pricing initiatives.
- Understand and communicate the drivers of Deoleo and customer business performance using syndicated data (Circana / IRI), Deoleo shipment data, and retailer specific data.
Look beyond topline trends to provide insights on business drivers and identify opportunities for growth. - Share insights and recommendations internally in the form of scorecards and ad-hoc projects.
- Perform market research analysis to find insights on consumers and shoppers that can be leveraged to support internal understanding and external selling initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and external partners, to manage syndicated product database updates and new item execution.
Key Success factors
Education:
- BS/BA in business administration, Marketing or related field
Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in Sales or Category Management within a CPG organization.
- Comfortable mining and analyzing syndicated data (Circana, Nielsen, Numerator, etc.)
- Fact-based storytelling, leveraging data into PowerPoint presentations, for example.
- Highly skilled in a commercial mindset and understanding of marketing and sales principles.

- Strong analytical ability with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Creative storyteller.
- Pro-active communicator with a sense of urgency.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Process-oriented.
- Proficient use and understanding of syndicated data.
- Strong command of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
- Experience using Power BI tools, a plus.
- Cross-cultural awareness and ability to work with very different cultures.
- Fluent in spoken and written English. Spanish an advantage.
